Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may process:

• name, email address and phone number;
• account credentials in securely hashed form;
• selected three-month or six-month programme duration;
• onboarding, registration-review, trial and programme-access status and dates;
• lesson viewing position, lesson completion and programme progress;
• private and group chat messages you choose to send;
• notifications, communication preferences and account/privacy requests;
• limited technical and security information required for authentication, rate limiting, error monitoring and service reliability.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, review registrations, manage trials and programme access, remember learning progress, provide chat and notifications, send necessary account communications, respond to support and privacy requests, prevent misuse and maintain the reliability of the service.

3. Programme and learning activity

The platform stores lesson progress so you can resume where you stopped and so the dashboard can show module completion and the next lesson to continue. Administrators can view learning activity where reasonably necessary to support programme delivery and engagement.

4. Chat and groups

Private chats are visible to the participants and authorised administrators supporting that conversation. Group messages, participant names and earlier group history may be visible to members added to that group. Avoid sharing information you do not want other participants in the relevant conversation to see.

5. Emails and communication preferences

Important security, password-recovery and essential account messages may be sent when required to operate the service. From Profile, you can control optional announcement emails and trial/programme reminder emails. In-app notifications may still be used for programme information even when optional email delivery is turned off.

6. Service providers

We rely on service providers to operate parts of the platform, including website hosting, database infrastructure, video delivery and transactional email. Current services may include Vercel, PostgreSQL/Neon infrastructure, Bunny Stream and Resend. Providers process information only as required for their respective services and operate under their own terms and privacy obligations.

7. Payments

This website does not currently process programme payments or ask you to enter complete card, UPI PIN, banking password or similar payment credentials. Where a fee is arranged directly with the coaching team, the external payment method used may be subject to the relevant provider's privacy practices.

8. Security and operational monitoring

Passwords are stored using secure hashing rather than readable plain text. Password-reset links are temporary and designed for one-time use. The platform also uses session revocation, request throttling and limited operational-event logging to protect accounts and diagnose service failures. Operational error records are designed to avoid storing secrets such as passwords, tokens and bearer credentials.

9. Retention

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for programme delivery, account administration, security, support, dispute resolution and applicable legal obligations. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or security records after an account becomes inactive.

10. Your privacy choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request correction of inaccurate information, ask about information associated with your account or request deletion where appropriate. Signed-in users can update their name and phone number, manage optional email preferences and submit an account/data deletion request from Profile.

A deletion request is reviewed rather than applied instantly because some information may need to be retained for security, legal or legitimate operational reasons. You can cancel a pending deletion request before it is completed.

11. Children's privacy

Tamil Postpartum Coach is intended for adults seeking postpartum education and programme support and is not designed as a service directed toward children.

12. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the platform, programme structure, service providers or applicable requirements change. The current revision date will appear at the top of this page. For privacy questions or requests that cannot be completed from your account, use the Contact page.
